Product Merchant Schema

The Product Merchant Schema is the schema that passes the shipping-related details and returns policy.
This schema is directly related to your Product Schema once the product schema is enabled on your app dashboard you will get the option to "enable" the Product Merchant Schema till then the " Enable" Button will remain greyed out.

  • Purpose:

    Merchants can pass the correct rich information related to shipping details and return policies to Google SERPs.

  • How to Enable:

    1. Locate the "Product Merchant" Schema in the schema list.

    2. Click " Enable" to turn on the product Merchant Schema.

    3. This will open a new setting module where the merchant needs to fill in all required and correct information for :

      A. Shipping details:

      1. Shipping destination: The merchant needs to mention one of the primary countries where the merchant is shipping the product.

      2. Currency: Select the Currency on which the merchant charges for shipping.

      3. Amount: Mention the shipping charges specific to the selected shipping destination.

      4. Handling Time: Mention the estimated time between the order being placed and passed to the courier service. Here Merchant needs to mention the Minimum and Maximum handling time.

      5. Transit Time: Estimated time taken to reach the shipping destination. Merchant needs to mention the Minimum and Maximum handling time.

      B. Return details:

      1. Applicable country: The merchant needs to mention one of the primary countries where the return of the product is applicable.

      2. Return Policy Category: Now here we have 3 conditions :

        1. No Return Policy.

        2. Limited Return Time -

        A. The Merchant needs to select the return method that can be returned by Mail, return By Kiosk, or return at the store.

        B. Then comes return days - Here merchant needs to put the number of days within which the return is applicable.

        C. Now Select the return fees -
        1. If the return fee is free then select free and hit save.
        2. If the return is paid then select paid.
        3. Amount - The merchant needs to mention the return charge.

        4. Currency - Mention the currency on which the return is applicable for the return applicable country.

        3. Unlimited Return Time :
        A. The Merchant needs to select the return method that can be returned by Mail, return By Kiosk, or return at the store.
        B. Now Select the return fees -

        1. If the return fee is free then select free and hit save.
        2. If the return is paid then select paid.
        3. Amount - The merchant needs to mention the return charge.
        4. Currency - Mention the currency on which the return is applicable for the return applicable country.

    4. Once all the Information is filled hit "Save".
